Volleyball – Terms 3 and 4, 2026
Important note: In Term 3, Friday Volleyball will be for the Year 9/10 teams only, to prepare for their season ahead.
Junior Super League Volleyball – Years 9 and 10
Trials: Trials for Boys and Girls will take place on Friday 26th June after school (3:30 – 5pm) in the Event Centre. They must be registered in order to trial. Registrations close at 9am Friday 26th June.
Season dates and game days: Wednesdays, starting 16 September (Week 9, Term 3). The season is usually 6 weeks long, so last game is anticipated to be Wednesday 4 November (TBC).
The Girls’ Super League A team will also play in the Girls – Premier League. They will also play on Friday afternoons. Games will start on Friday, 16 October (Week 1, Term 4). The season is usually 4 weeks long, so last game is anticipated to be on Friday, 6 November.
Venue and Time: 4pm start. Game venues vary each week according to the draw and are released a week prior. Each week, teams are required to be present for three games in total – they play two games and do duty (refereeing, etc.) for one game.
Training: All teams will train on Fridays – 3.30-5pm in the Event Centre.
Other trainings may be added – info will be provided in your team’s TeamReach group.
Auckland Champs:
Super League A and B teams may have the opportunity to participate in the Auckland Champs, from Wednesday 11 November till Friday 13 November at the Bruce Pullman Centre. We anticipate the cost being in the region of $230.
Senior First Team (Boys and Girls) players have the opportunity to:
- Play in Auckland Senior Volleyball Champs at the Pullman Arena on 11th – 13th March 2026
- Play in the Premier League as both teams have qualified
- Play in the North Island Secondary Schools Championships in Palmerston North on 23rd – 27th March 2026. Travel will be from Saturday 20th March
Membership requirements
- Important: All players, coaches, trainers, and managers must be registered VNZ members before participating in any Inter-Provincial Competition (IPC), Zone qualifying league/tournament, or other VNZ events and programmes including Secondary School events. Memberships are valid for one year and must be renewed annually. 2026 Secondary School Student Membership $21 inc GST

We have a limited amount of vans that will be shared across teams throughout the season, therefore we cannot guarantee that they will be accessible for every team every week. Therefore, parents will be responsible for arranging transport or carpooling for their children to and from game venues.
Junior Volleyball (Years 9 & 10) – Terms 3/4, 2026
All players will pay the ‘All other teams’ fees until the Super League A teams have been named:
- Super League A teams: $TBC (includes an extra fee of $TBC for the Premier League)
- All other teams (Super League and North Harbour): $130
