Basketball at KingsWay
Basketball is a team sport offered to KingsWay students from Year 1 to Year 13. We welcome new and existing players.
Our Year 1 – Year 6 Miniball and Basketball is played through the Leisure Centre at Stanmore Bay.
Year 7 & 8 Basketballers play either in the Junior Basketball League (JBL) at a variety of local schools or in Leisure Centre League, Stanmore Bay.
Year 9 & 10 Basketballers play either in the Junior Basketball League (JBL) at a variety of local schools, at the Leisure Centre League in Stanmore Bay or through the North Harbour Basketball competition on the Shore.
Our Year 11 to Year 13 Basketball is played either at AUT, Northcote, at the Eventfinda Stadium, Wairau Park or at Massey University in Albany through the North Harbour Basketball competition.
Basketball Year 1-6
Miniball Year 1-4 and Basketball Year 5 & 6 is played at the Leisure Centre per semester

Our more competitive teams are entered into the North Harbour Schools competition played at North Harbour Basketball centres on the shore. We do offer Leisure Centre and JBL local schools competition for Year 9 players if we have enough wanting to make social teams.
