Head of Middle School Welcome
We believe that a young person’s ‘Middle Years’ are crucial, as they experience a time of rapid growth and development. This belief is supported by research that shows the different needs early adolescent students have when compared to primary and secondary students.
Our Middle School (Year 7-9) and Junior Secondary School (Year 10) ensure our students are well supported in age-appropriate ways as they progress through these Middle Years. Our broad curriculum emphasises the importance of Literacy and Numeracy along with a wide range of subjects including specialist subjects taught by specialist teachers. As students progress through each year, they become more independent and are prepared for the following year ahead.
We encourage all of our students to engage fully with their learning, take opportunities, develop relationships and grow as followers of Jesus Christ. There are many opportunities for our young people to take up challenges and develop their potential. These experiences include sporting, cultural, academic and leadership opportunities. We cultivate a culture of fun through regular events including our Whanau House competitions.
Our Middle Years teachers are committed to being in partnership with parents in the process of discipling their children while at this unique stages of their lives. Please join us as we endeavour,
“To be a Christian community of learning that nurtures young people towards their full potential as servant leaders in the kingdom of God.”
