The Enrolment Form is a confidential form in which we ask for information that will begin the process of enrolment for your child to attend KingsWay School. Applications must be submitted complete with supporting documentation.
Once the application is received, the Enrolment Officer will process the application and will send an acknowledgement of receipt. If the application is fully completed, your child will be placed on our waitlist as either a preferential or non-preferential applicant.
Standard procedure prevents us from being able to provide any details regarding our school waitlist as this is confidential information.
To maintain the Special Christian Character of KingsWay School, priority is given to students whose families demonstrate a longstanding commitment and regular attendance to an evangelical church. Unfortunately, if a family is unable to supply a Church Attestation there are only limited places available to non-preference applicants.
Priority Order:
i. The siblings of preference students currently enrolled at the school.
ii. Siblings of former preference students.
iii. Preference applicants who are children of staff or Board of Trustee / Board of Proprietors members
iv. Preference applicants that are enrolling whilst currently attending a school that is a member of New Zealand Association for Christian Schools.
v. Preference applicants that are enrolling have attended a Christian pre-school for one year or more.
As a state-integrated school, KingsWay School has limited places (5%) for non-preference students.
Non-Preference Criteria:
a. The applicants accept that they will be attending a school of special character and that their place in the school is conditional on their participation in the programme and Christian ethos of the school.
b. The applicants accept that they will be required to pay attendance dues as set by the Proprietor and these are not voluntary.
Priority Order:
i. The siblings of non-preference students currently enrolled in the school.
ii. Siblings of former non-preference students.
iii. Non-preference applicants who are children of staff or Board of Trustee / Board of Proprietors members who seek to enrol their children.
iv. Non-preference students coming from another integrated school with the same special character.
v. All other applicants.
Where there are more applicants than places available within the same priority category, they will be accepted in order of the date and time the pre-enrolments form was received. If pre-enrolment dates are the same, allocation will be via ballot.
Students who cannot be enrolled immediately may choose to be placed on a waiting list sorted in order of the priority conditions described above. Students on this list are wait listed by date and number.
Parents and caregivers of those applicants on the waiting list will be notified when and if places become available for their child. Parents and caregivers will then have seven days to confirm their enrolment. If no confirmation is received the applicant will be removed from the waiting list and the position may be offered to the next priority student.
The Board of Trustees delegates the authority to administer this policy to the Principal.
The enrolment interview is an important step of the school’s final consideration of your child’s application. The interview is held by the respective Head of School (Junior, Middle & Senior) and also provides the opportunity to meet our staff and to ask any necessary questions. Parent partnership is an important aspect of our school and we expect the presence of both parents at this interview. Parents and students are expected to demonstrate a willingness and ability to support KingsWay School’s Parents Covenant and Statement of Faith.
If your child receives an offer of place, you will receive a Letter of Acceptance for KingsWay School and an Enrolment pack with documentation that you will need to complete. Your child’s enrolment will be subject to KingsWay School’s Conditions of Enrolment as set out in the enrolment pack.
To secure a place for your child you will need to return the completed and signed Conditions of Enrolment Form and within two weeks of acceptance pay one terms fees in advance. In addition, the School Development Donation for each new family is required. Once we have received this payment and the signed Conditions of Enrolment form you have officially accepted your child’s offer of a place and this becomes a legally binding contract between yourself and KingsWay School.
This document must be completed by a Pastor/Minister or Senior Leader of the church at which the applicant attends.
If your child is enrolling in a New Zealand school for the FIRST TIME we require a verified true copy of his/her proof of identity.
If your child is currently enrolled in a New Zealand school we still require a copy of proof of identity but it does not need to be verified as a true copy.
Verified true copies of visas and passports are required:
ALL students who have attended a previous school (we do not require a Preschool report):
