Reaching Out Above and Beyond
Our 2021 40 Hour Famine efforts were acknowledged by World Vision: We are proud of
At KingsWay School we believe that God has created all people with their own unique combination of strengths and talents. We acknowledge the importance of supporting students who have learning challenges.
The Learning Support Department aims to support those students who find the areas of learning and social understanding a challenge. Support comes in a variety of forms – small group support for Numeracy and Literacy, Social skills programmes, alternative pathways and in class support.
Additional support is included in transition programmes, Independent Education Plans, Special Assessment Conditions support and Parent support groups.
We also work closely with our RTLB service (Resource Teachers for Learning and Behaviour), the Twin Coast Cluster Group and the MOE, SE (Ministry of Education, Special Education).
We have Teacher Aide support in all areas of the school.
