Kāhui Ako
Our schools have been given the special privilege of sharing our expertise and experience as a Kāhui Ako (Community of Learning). We want to take full advantage of the opportunities this entails.
Community of Learning
Formed in 2019, KingsWay School, Westminster Christian School and Jireh Christian School have identified three achievement challenge goals on which we will focus:
- Improving student outcomes of English second language learners
- Student wellbeing
- Enhancing students’ use of key competencies
Our motto is:
Ki Atua hei te Kororia (To God be the Glory)
We believe the valuable professional development that we gain together will translate into practice for our students. Our aim is to ensure we are always improving the learning and wellbeing of our students. Being part of the Kāhui Ako, we believe it is important that our staff model that they are lifelong learners too.

Our Level 3 History students recently had a whirlwind trip to the Bay of Islands with Mrs Bain, Mr Bennett, and two amazing parents. They were taken on an in-depth tour of the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, explored historical sites around Russell/Kororareka, sailed across the bay on the R Tucker Thompson ship, and visited Kemp House and the Stone Store in Kerikeri.
