Registrations have now officially closed for the Winter Season.
Winter Season 2026: 24th April – 29th August
KingsWay has both competitive and recreational teams catering to premier players and those who enjoy the social aspects of a good football game.
- Boys’ competition games are played on Saturday mornings except for the 1st XI team, which can also play fixtures on Friday evenings.
- Girls’ games, regardless of grade, are played on Wednesdays after school.
- Both boys and girls teams play home and away games.

Football-Specific Information for Years 9-13
Trials & Muster
Trials for both premier boys and girls teams take place in Term 1. The number of teams entered is determined by the number of students registering to play. Musters for recreational grades are held based on numbers with the aim of getting as many students playing football as possible.
Once team selection is finalised, you will be invited to join your child’s team on Team Reach. All information for the season will be put on this Team Reach App.

March 2nd: Girls Trial
March 4th: Yrs 12-13 training 6.45am-8.15am
March 6th: Yr. 11 Boys Trial
March 11th: Boys Training Squad 6.45am-8.15am
March 13th: Yrs 9 & 10 Boys Trial
March 18th: Boys 1st XI Training 6.45am-8.15am
All trials are on the school field and are from 3.30-5pm unless stated otherwise. Please note that if Year 9/10/11 are unable to attend trials, all boys are welcome to attend the 11th, 18th and 25th March training sessions.

Fees and Registrations for Football
Year 9-13
All players will pay the ‘all other grade’ fees until the 1st XI teams have been trialed and named.
1st XI Boys: $199 (includes 1 knock out game)
1st XI Girls: $ 171
All Other Grades (Boys): $105
All Other Grades (Girls): $130 (transport included for games where van is available)

Kingsway School has a user pays policy for all sports. This means ALL fees must be paid prior to commencement of competition or play, unless an AP has been arranged with the sports department. Please e-mail sport@kingsway.school.nz if you would like to set up such a payment.
The football charge includes:
- College Sport Charge, Referee Fee (1st XI),
- Kingsway charges: administration fee, Knock Out Cup fee, Transport for Cup Games, Equipment, Uniform & CDC of Sport costs.
