Our Year 1 – Year 6 Hockey is played through North Harbour Hockey and games are played at Metro Park in Millwater.

Year 1 to Year 6 Game Information

We are excited for another fantastic year of hockey and encourage everyone to sign up!

Years 1-2 (Boys and Girls)

• Game Format: Played on a smaller turf with smaller goals and only 4 players per team. The session includes 10-15 minutes of skill coaching followed by a game.
• Game Time: Mondays after school (4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, approx.) during Terms 2 and 3.
• Practices: TBC
• Games: Start Monday 4th May to Monday 24th August 2026
• NO Play: Kings birthday 1st June and School holidays 6th & 13th July

Years 3-6 (Boys and Girls)

• Game Time: Mondays after school (4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, approx.) during Terms 2 and Term 3
• Practices: TBC
• Games: Start Monday 4th May to Monday 24th August 2026
• NO Play: Kings birthday 1st June and School holidays 6th & 13th July
  Note: Parents are responsible for transportation to and from the venue.

Trial Dates:

• Trials for Year 5 & 6 Players
  – Monday 16th March 3:30 -4:30 pm at Senior Campus Astro
  – Thursday 19th March 3:30 -4:30pm at Senior Campus Astro

Fees and Registrations for Primary Hockey

Cost:
Year 1 & 2 – $192
Year 3 & 4 – $192
Year 5 & 6 – $213

Registrations Close: Thursday 5th February

If you do not register your child by the date the registration closes there may be a $10 late fee applied and we cannot guarantee your child a place in a team.

Once registrations close, teams will be made up, coaches and managers sorted and parents will be contacted with further information approx. a week after registrations close with further details.

KingsWay School has a user pays policy for all sports. This means ALL fees must be paid prior to commencement of competition or play, unless an AP has been arranged with the sports department. Please email sport@kingsway.school.nz  if you would like to set up such a payment.
