Season Information

Non competitive Tennis Program – Year 7 – Year 13:

KingsWay School is excited to offer a non-competitive tennis program, for years 7-13, starting in Week 2, Term 1. This 10-week program will run from Tuesday, 4th February, to Tuesday, 8th April, with sessions taking place every Tuesday morning from 7:30 am to 8:30 am on the school’s AstroTurf.

The program is designed for beginner players and will be led by professional coach Ken McLeod, with support from a KingsWay School staff member. The focus will be on skill development, fitness, and fostering a love for the game in a fun and supportive environment.

When: Every Tuesday morning, 7:30 am – 8:30 am

Maximum Participants: 32 students

Students must register below at the start of Term 1 and Term 4 each year to secure a spot.

Competitive Tennis Coaching Term 1

Full Motion Sports and Coach Carlos will offer training in KingsWay to look to build our Tennis programme leading to entering competitive Tennis teams in the North Harbour Schools competition. This coaching is not for beginners.

– Coach Carlos will lead all tennis training. He is an ITF Level 2-certified coach with over 32 years of
experience.

Day: Friday mornings
Time: 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM commencing 7th February or Primary Students 7.30AM – 8.30AM (see below)
Small Group Training:
Maximum of 8 students per group to ensure good-quality coaching.
Groups will be formed based on skill levels, not age or gender, for more tailored instruction.
OPTIONS:
Professional Coaching and playing KWS School tennis team in the College Sport Competition: Term 1 – Y9-13, Term 4 -Y9 & 10
Professional Coaching 1.5 hours Y7-13 Term 1, Terms 2-4 to be confirmed
Professional Coaching 1 hour Y5 & 6 Term 1 only, Terms 2-4 to be confirmed

KingsWay Tennis Cup Term 4

Days: Term 4 Tuesday Afternoons

Year Level: Year 7 – Year 10
Time: 3:30 – approximately 5:30pm
Starting: TBC

Format: Doubles and Singles
