- Always wear the correct KingsWay uniform with pride for all games and wear/bring the appropriate gear to trainings.
- Wear appropriate safety gear at trainings and games. i.e Mouthguard, shin pads.
- Never argue with the referees and umpires.
- Reflect the special character of KingsWay School.
- Always play fair and strive to achieve your personal best
Any breaches of the Players’ Code of Conduct will be dealt with by the Head of Sports and/or Associate Principal.
KingsWay Schools’ Supporters Code of Conduct
As a KingsWay School parent/supporter, I will, to the best of my ability:
- Be positive in my support for all teams.
- Show appreciation and respect to all coaches, managers, officials and those who volunteer their time so my child can play sport and will never question, shout or abuse them.
- Be a positive role model for my child in my attitude towards sport.
- Insist that my child plays by the rules and principles of fair play.
- Always be positive and never ridicule or shout at players.
- Acknowledge good play from both teams.
- I will teach my child that doing one’s best is more important than winning, so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of a game or his/her performance.
At a game never question, discuss or confront coaches at the game field. If a parent needs to speak with a coach, arrange it at an agreed time and place for both parties. Often, what a spectator instructs a player to do from the side lines contradicts what the coach is instructing a player to do and this confuses the player. Your greatest asset for your child during games/practices is your encouragement, not your coaching.
Please remember a positive attitude on the sideline goes a long way to ensuring all involved will enjoy the competition.
