Hockey Years 1-6
Season Information:
We are looking forward to another great year of hockey and welcome anyone who wants to give this great game a go.
We would love to welcome all primary students (Year 1 to Year 6) who are interested to play hockey to sign up.
KingsWay School has a selection of hockey sticks available to use at the first couple of trainings for those who would like to try this sport. Kindly contact the TIC (Elana Theron) for more information.
Years 1-2 Boys and Girls:
The game runs a little differently to the year 3-6 hockey in that the year 1-2’s play on a smaller turf, with smaller goals and only 4 players per team. The game consists of a split between skill coaching (for the first 10-15mins) followed by a game for the remainder of the time slot.
All hockey games are played at the Millwater Parkway Metro Park Hockey Turf at 228 Millwater Parkway, Silverdale, on a Monday after school during terms 2 and 3.
Practices are to be arranged dependant on coaches availability.
Games: Mondays 8th May 2023 – 28th August 2023 (No play 5th June for Kings Birthday and 3rd – 10 July School Holidays). Click here for full dates
Year 1 & 2 teams play games on Mondays between 4 pm – 6:00 pm approx.
