Primary School Leadership

We have a special focus in Year 6 on Servant Leadership. KingsWay School’s motto: “Servant Leaders: Leaders are people of Godly character who are willing to act on what they believe,” guides leadership in Year 6 too. Students need significant, specific responsibilities.

At the beginning of each year, Year 6 students submit an expression of interest in one of the leadership opportunities: Road Safety, Human Aid, Sport, Peacemakers, ICT, and House Leaders. In addition, students who want to become House Leaders, also fill out an application form and provide us with a character reference letter.

Each Year 6 leader receives a badge and fulfils the role for the whole year. Servant Leadership is often the key that unlocks the door of opportunity to developing gifts of leading others. A leader inspires those they serve, to serve others. That is true leadership.
