Senior School Uniform Requirements
The KingsWay School uniform helps to bring sense of belonging and mutual respect for members of our community. Our uniform is distinctive, setting our students apart and is expected to be worn to a high standard in keeping with uniform code regulations. When students are in school uniform, school rules apply, and conduct should reflect our school values and special character.
Students can choose to wear combinations of uniform as stipulated by the uniform code. Uniform is to be purchased from the school Uniform Shop. Non-uniform items are NOT accepted.
- Navy mid-calf skirt OR knee-length school skirt OR school trousers
- White blouse
- School jumper OR school blazer OR school jacket
- Black flat sandals (back strap compulsory) OR black polishable shoes (no boots, high-tops, sports shoes or casual shoes) with black opaque stockings/tights OR plain white visible ankle socks
- Plain scarf: Black, white, or navy
- Ties: Years 10-12 striped tie / Year 13 plain tie / or Scholar’s tie may be worn
NOTE: When the school blazer is worn the school tie must be worn.
Girls: Hair & Jewellery
- Hairstyles for girls need to be neat and tidy and off the face
- Hair ties and bands: black, white, navy, blue (no patterns)
- Only natural hair colours are permitted
- Girls may wear one small plain ear stud at the bottom of each ear lobe. Gold and silver only
- No visible makeup is to be worn
- Only clear nail polish may be worn
- Girls may wear one plain, flat ring
- Girls may wear a watch
NOTE: Tattoos must not be visible when wearing school uniform including sporting/PE uniform.
- Navy school shorts OR school trousers
- Long-sleeved white shirt with the school logo
- Black flat sandals (back heel strap compulsory) or black polishable shoes (no boots, high-tops, sports shoes or casual shoes) with school socks (with shorts) OR navy/black socks (with trousers).
- Plain black belt
- School jumper OR school blazer OR school jacket
- Ties: Years 10-12 Striped tie / Year 13 plain tie / or Scholars tie may be worn
NOTE:
When the school blazer is worn the school tie must be worn and shirts (short and long sleeved) must be tucked in.
When trousers are worn, school shoes must be worn.
Hair & Jewellery
- Hairstyles for boys need to be neat and tidy and off the face
- Only natural hair colours are permitted
- No visible piercings
- Boys may wear one plain, flat ring
- Face to be clean-shaven
NOTE: Tattoos must not be visible when wearing school uniform including sporting/PE uniform.
Each year the school has to dispose of many items because the owners have not claimed them.
All clothing must be named to ensure return to the owner of the garment, when left in the playground or classroom.
Lunchboxes should have permanent labels affixed. The school is not responsible for misplaced items.
There are’ Lost Property’ drawers in the corridor near the student reception (Senior Campus) for the storage of lost property. Parents and students are encouraged to check these drawers if property has been misplaced.
