Becoming unwell at school
If your child becomes unwell whilst at school, they should see the nurse who will assess them and decide whether they can be treated and return to class, or need to be collected and recover at home. In the case of a serious injury or medical emergency, parents will be immediately notified and an ambulance may be called.
Your child’s safety is important to us and we need to be aware of their whereabouts. They should not arrange with caregivers directly to go home. We appreciate your assistance in ensuring this process runs smoothly and supports our students appropriately.
Parents are responsible for providing the office with updated contact details and health related information concerning their children e.g. asthma, allergies and medical conditions. This includes Health Action Plans provided by your family doctor.
Medication at School
Any medication needed by your child while at school, either on a short or long term basis should be left with the nurse, together with clear instructions on its administration.
Please read the Administration Guidelines and provide the school nurses with a completed Request to Administer Medication at School form.
