2022 has been a year of pioneering a new Junior Secondary school. In 2018 the research journey began to redesign, reshape and repurpose the Year 10 experience to best support our students. Early adolescence is a time of change (socially, emotionally and mentally, physically and spiritually) and our young people need an extra layer of support both in learning and wellbeing. In 2022, the vision was realised, and a team of teachers were brought together to launch Junior Secondary. Throughout the year they have created relevant programmes, developed ‘wrap around’ wellbeing systems and provided opportunities for Year 10’s to thrive and feel supported. KingsWay School are proud of all they have achieved in this first, pioneering year.
