The Year 8 Sports Camp is a five-day camp that involves coaching, competition and relationship building for students who show particular skill in a range of sports. Only selected students can apply.
Camp Information:
The Totara Springs Sports Camp is held during Week 10 of Term 3, and we have the opportunity to send a team of up to 38 students.
The competition level of participating schools is extremely high and attending students are required to participate in a variety of sports, be team players on and off the field and have a high level of self-management. Selections will prioritize our top athletes who display versatility, fitness, self-management and are team players.
Students will be required to wear a watch, be able to tell the time and be on time for all their games. All games at Sports Camp are played in the KingsWay School PE uniform.
Each school presents a “Cheer” at Sports Camp. All students are expected to participate. Cheer practices will take place during Lunch.
Trials will be held in the last two weeks of Term 1 to aid our selection process. All players will be expected to attend training sessions during Terms 2 and 3 to prepare for Sports Camp. Most training will take place during lunchtime (details to be communicated closer to the time, and once the teams have been selected).
Dates: 18 – 22 September 2023
Cost: $460.00 (special dietary requirements will incur an extra $40.00 surcharge)
Payment will be required by Friday, 1 September 2023.
