Congratulations to Georgia Theron who competed at the North Island Weightlifting Championships and set a new National Youth Record on the Snatch event. She came first in the Junior Division for the U64kg category and also 1st in the overall Senior Women’s division. She lifted a total of 181kg over the two lifts. Well done, Georgia on a fantastic achievement. Not many people can boast New Zealand records.
Nevaeh McNair also did very well in the competition and came 2nd in the Junior Division and 3rd in the Women’s Division with a total of 137kg over the two lifts. Well done Nevaeh.
