KingsWay School is very proud to celebrate that Cherie Perrow, Head of Careers and Pathways, has had her abstract, “Your Story Matters,” accepted for presentation at the prestigious International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance (IAEVG) Conference, taking place from 25–27 November.
Hosted in Aotearoa New Zealand by CATE, this globally recognised conference attracted 251 submissions from 33 countries, reflecting the depth and diversity of expertise in the field. Cherie’s work, grounded in Hope-Action Theory and best practice in career development, was rigorously reviewed by the IAEVG Scientific Committee, an international panel of leading academics, researchers, and practitioners who assess submissions for their originality, quality, and contribution to the global profession.
Acceptance into this programme signals a high level of international credibility and professional excellence. Cherie has been invited to deliver a one-hour interactive workshop to an international audience, sharing how “Your Story Matters” empowers students to recognise their strengths, experiences, and personal narratives as powerful tools for shaping their future pathways. This workshop will showcase innovative, student-centred practice from KingsWay School on a global stage, contributing to professional learning and dialogue with career development experts from around the world.
We are incredibly proud of Cherie and this outstanding achievement. Her dedication to empowering young people, commitment to excellence in career development, and passion for helping students discover purpose and direction continue to make a lasting impact within our school community and beyond. Being selected to present at this prestigious international conference is a testament to the quality of her work and the respect it has earned among career development professionals worldwide.
