KingsWay School student Silas Goh in Year 9 has achieved outstanding success at the 2026 Earth Sciences New Zealand Science and Technology Fair (formerly the NIWA Science and Technology Fair).

As KingsWay School’s sole representative at the national competition, Silas was awarded Gold in the Living World category and received the Highly Commended Use of Statistics Award within his category.

In a remarkable achievement, Silas was also named the recipient of the Earth Sciences New Zealand Premier Award, recognising his project as the top overall entry at the Fair.

This extraordinary accomplishment is a testament to Silas’ commitment, scientific inquiry, and pursuit of excellence. KingsWay School is incredibly proud of the way he represented the school and congratulates him on this outstanding achievement.
