Congratulations to Ella Owen, who has been awarded the People’s Choice Award in the New Zealand Secondary School Art Awards.

This prestigious national competition attracted more than 800 entries from secondary students across Aotearoa, making Ella’s achievement particularly impressive. Now in its 14th year, the awards celebrate the imagination, creativity, and artistic excellence of emerging young artists from Years 11 to 13.

Students are invited to submit one original artwork across a wide range of media, including painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, digital art, sculpture, ceramics, moving image, and textile-based works.

Winning the People’s Choice Award is a wonderful recognition of Ella’s artistic talent and the impact her work had on audiences nationwide. We congratulate Ella on this outstanding achievement and are incredibly proud of her success.
