We are proud to announce that Eva Vassiliou, our current Head Girl, had an outstanding performance at the New Zealand Powerlifting Nationals on Saturday, 2 May.

Eva posted three personal bests with a 140 kg squat, 85 kg bench press, and a 181 kg deadlift for a 406 kg total. Her results earned her:

• Gold medal in her age and weight class

• Best Overall Sub-Junior (U18)

• Two New Zealand records: deadlift and total

As a result, Eva has been selected to represent New Zealand at the World Championships in South Africa at the end of August — her second time at this level.
