Congratulations to Skyler Olivier (Year 9), who recently represented New Zealand at the World Championships of Performing Arts 2026 in Las Vegas.

Competing in the highly competitive Solo Hip Hop Division, Skyler chose to focus on her strength and entered just one category, while many other competitors entered between six and eleven categories. With only one opportunity to make her mark, the pressure and anticipation were immense.

Skyler’s determination and talent paid off as she became the first member of the New Zealand Team to win a Silver Medal at the competition, earning Silver in the Solo Hip Hop Division!

This is an incredible achievement on the world stage. Congratulations Skyler, we are very proud of you and all that you have accomplished. 👏
