Becoming a Homestay Family
Hosting a student is a wonderful way to connect you and your family with another culture.
Many of our international students enjoy staying with one of our homestay families in the KingsWay community. These families love and care for their students during their time in New Zealand. Homestay Accommodation gives students an opportunity to expand their English language and experience life in New Zealand. Our Homestay Coordinator provides ongoing guidance to students and homestay families. It is our school policy that students must be at least 13 years old to be considered for Homestay Accommodation.
If you would like to be considered as a host family:
- Read the information on this page.
- Download the four Homestay application forms:
Agreement Residential Caregiver (Homestay) or Designated Caregiver
Application for Residential Caregiver (Homestay) and Designated CaregiverNZ Police Vetting Form

- Complete and email the Homestay Agreement, Homestay or Designated Caregiver Application and Police Vetting Forms (pages 2 and 3 only) to: [email protected].
- Give or email The Pastoral Referee Form to your church leader who will need to return it to the International Office themselves.
