KingsWay School Teacher Trainee Programme – Years 1 – 8
We have a paid one-day-per-week, school-based apprentice training model to support teacher trainees.
Teacher trainees are based in the classroom at KingsWay Primary or Middle School each week throughout the year. This onsite training with a master teacher enables teacher trainees to see and experience teaching and routines over the school year. This time is separate from your university coursework requirements.
Completion of attendance for our professional development programme and in-class hours are acknowledged with the KingsWay School Christian Education Certificate. While not accredited, this is valuable for those passionate about Christian education and an additional detail for your resume.

Teachers’ Institute’s Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching
We want to hear from you if you have a degree and want to be based with us for your Teachers Institute Primary course.
The Teachers’ Institute’s Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary) is a one-year school-based programme. Teacher trainees are based in a class for 2-3 days each week. Students are fully engaged in all aspects of school life while attending coursework at the Teachers Institute on the remaining days of the week. This is eligible for the School Onsite Training Programme (SOTP) which includes a $20,660 tax-free bursary for teacher trainees.
