Middle Years Pathways and Careers
Career Competency Framework (Middle Years Programme)
Our programme is modelled on the Career Competency Framework that develops students in three key areas: self-awareness, exploring opportunities, and deciding and acting. This framework is intentionally scaffolded across Years 7–10 to ensure students build confidence, understanding, and practical skills over time.
This framework is embedded across curriculum, pastoral care, and co-curricular experiences. Initiatives such as Head Prefects sharing testimonies, mentoring opportunities, and service activities reinforce these competencies by helping students:
- See themselves as capable contributors (self-awareness)
- Recognise diverse pathways and possibilities (exploring opportunities)
- Take intentional steps in their learning and personal growth (deciding and acting)
Students explore their identity, strengths, interests, and values as a foundation for future decision-making.
