Visiting Primary Classrooms

Parents are asked not to visit studios unannounced during the school day. If a parent needs to deliver a message to their child, please go through Primary Administration. If a parent is assisting in a primary classroom, they are asked to sign in at Primary Administration and get a visitor’s pass prior to entering.

Communicating with Teaching Staff

ONE

The first point of contact should always be the class teacher on matters of curriculum, behaviour and pastoral care. Please avoid surprising teachers with unscheduled meetings in the morning. An appointment which enables a teacher to be prepared will contribute to a favourable outcome for all. Appointments can be made via email to the teacher concerned.

TWO

If further discussion is required, parents are to make an appointment to speak with the Head of Learning Area:
• New Entrant - Year 2: Jess Irvine
• Years 3 - 4: Edward Pinel
• Years 5 - 6: Deidre Gibson

THREE

If you have spoken with the Head of Learning Area (HOLA) and still feel there is an unresolved issue, you are welcome to make an appointment to see either of the Assistant Heads of Primary, Jordan Barley or Deidre Gibson. A follow-up meeting may be arranged with the class teacher.

FOUR

If you have met with the class teacher, HOLA and either of the Assistant Heads of Primary and would like to discuss matters further, an appointment can be made through Primary Administration to see the Head of Primary, Jenny Harvey who may also involve the Assistant Principal (Teaching and Learning Practice).

FIVE

If, after meeting with the Head of Primary and/or the Assistant Principal, further discussion is required, an appointment with Executive Principal, Graeme Budler, may be made. Please contact Julia Kinzett on 09 4270902 or email:  to set up an appointment.
