Culture

KingsWay School offers Drama, Dance, Music and Visual Arts as optional subjects from Years 10 to 13 and in Years 1 to 9 students are taught these subjects as part of the curriculum. There are two dance studios, drama and art rooms, music teaching classrooms, practice rooms as well as small studios where private tuition on most instruments is available during school hours.
Productions such as ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ give the musically gifted students an opportunity to compose and perform the music while the art, dance and drama students display their talents which are equally as impressive. These productions are held at a local theatre and are open to the public. The standard of these performances is outstanding.
The promotion and strengthening of The Arts from Years 1 to 13 is undertaken by the Arts Council, a student initiative run by Year 13 students and overseen by a staff member.
